They're ____ with the wrong people!
In The Walking DeadSeason 4 finale, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) almost says the iconic line from the comic books — as said of The Hunters in Issue 64. But the FCC frowns on the f-bomb, so when airing Episode 16 on AMC, they had to have Andrew Lincoln say, "They're screwing with the wrong people." It wasn’t sad trombone lame, but it wasn’t quite the end-of-season war cry they wanted.
However, during the producers' panel at San Diego Comic-Con, showrunner Scott Gimple revealed that the Season 4 Blu-ray edition will include Rick saying the original f--king line.
That should be how it sounds in the Blu-ray, and fans seem to think this way is much better. More intense. More badass. More menacing. More I just bit a guy’s neck, now I’m comin’ for yours.Right before the finale aired, Greg Nicotero told The Hollywood Reporter, "the last line in the episode gave me chills when I first read it - I think people are going to love it." And they’ll probably love it even more in its intended form.
The DVD and Blu-ray come out on Tuesday, August 26, featuring all this good stuff, including that effing threat from The Ricktator.
The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres Sunday, October 12 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
